Here are swatches of Pumpkin Pie. This one was a mix of more fine and chunkier glitter which I really like. I personally think this is my favorite of the bunch, it reminds me so much of fall however I think I can get away with using it in looks all year round, and keep a little bit of my favorite season with my this way!
This is Precious Pumpkin. This glitter is uniform in size, and shows up as a light orange with a slight green sheen/reflect. This is a little more simple than Pumpkin Pie, and I think I would most likely use this in combination with other glitters.
I do really appreciate that this brand has both simple and more complex glitters in many different styles, as it means there is something for every preference and you can also mix and match easily!
You might have noticed that there are three glitters listed, and only swatches of two of them. This is because unfortunately, the glitter gel dried up on me. When I first received it, it was beautiful, I did a quick swatch immediately. This was previous to me taking the photographs for this. It had a nice gel like consistency, and went on easily and evenly. I was able to layer it a bit without it clumping, and it was also easy to work with while still wet. However, when I went back a few weeks later to take the pictures of swatches, it was completely dried up and hard as a rock. I am so disappointed because it was so beautiful! I made sure to screw the lid on tightly, so I am not sure if the jars are just not the best quality and let air through, or maybe I got a defective jar, or if I am wrong and didn’t tighten it enough and it was just user error. So, I really can’t recommend or not recommend this as I only got one so I have nothing else to compare it to. I would just say to make sure you screw the lid back on really really tight, and in the future if I get more I may store them in a Tupperware container or something similar to add an additional layer of protection from the air.
Overall two out of the three products were a hit for me, and one was initially great but didn't work out in the end. However, I would definitely consider trying the gels again in the future to see if my issue was just a defect and/or user error.
